Historic Eldridge Hotel - Employee Relief Fund

Dear Friends of The Historic Eldridge,
The Eldridge Hotel has been an integral part of the history of Lawrence since its founding in 1855 originally as the Free State Hotel. Having survived being burned down twice, the historic hotel still stands strong as ever. However, history recently has made its mark again with the Coronavirus Pandemic forcing every restaurant in Lawrence to close their doors. With heavy hearts we temporarily closed the doors to the Eldridge Hotel & Restaurants on March 20th, 2020 leaving all of our employees on furlough.
We have received an overwhelming response from our patrons and guests asking how they can help The Eldridge Hotel team at this troubling time. We have created this fund as an opportunity to provide additional funds to our amazing staff who work hard to enrich the lives of our guests - who find themselves temporarily out of work due to the impact of COVID-19 on the travel, hospitality & restaurant industry. 100% of the donations will be distributed evenly amongst all of the employees in the kitchen, restaurant & bar, valet, front desk, laundry and housekeeping.
If you have ever enjoyed an experience staying or dining with us and have the means to give at this time, we ask you to donate to help our team during these unprecedented times. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fund with a wonderful past memory created at the hotel, bar or restaurant.
