Goals for Girls Leadership Summit

Hope in South Africa is a global partnership that empowers communities to enable citizens of South Africa to become healthy, responsible, contributing members of society. (www.hopeinsouthafrica.org

In July of 2017, Hope in South Africa sent a delegation of 14 young women who were identified as future leaders from the rural town of Richmond, South Africa to a Leadership Summit sponsored by Goals for Girls (GfG). The Summit was held in the Alexandra Township in Johannesburg, South Africa. Check out this video about Goals for Girls: https://youtu.be/P-C93yHfA7k

Goals for Girls mission is to use soccer to teach young women life skills on how to be agents of change, in their own lives and in their communities. GfG connects girls from different countries and backgrounds with their peers around the world, including delegations of young women from the United States, to address social and health challenges through cultural exchange, service, and soccer. Since 2007, GfG have used this unique platform to help disadvantaged girls across the globe by providing life skills education, all taught through the game of soccer.

In July 2018, Hope in South Africa has the opportunity to send another delegation of young women to the Goals for Girls 2018 Leadership Summit in July. We need to raise $5,000 USD to help the youth travel from Richmond to Johanesburg, stay overnight for 6 nights, and participate in the free Summit for 5 days. Please support our young ladies for a once in a liftime opportunity!
