Cancer. Stage IV. Metastasized. Breast, lung...brain.
THE BEGINNING
July 12, 2015: Renaté Duty was singing and ministering at a church -- just like every other weekend -- on a Sunday morning. Renaté stepped off of the platform and went into the restroom, where she was found unconscious on the floor.
July 17, 2015: Renaté posted, "OK, here's the story... At church on Sunday, after service, I had a seizure & passed out. This resulted in a trip to the emergency room, courtesy of an ambulance. While in the hospital, they did tests to find out why I had the seizure. Come to find out, I had a small tumor on my brain, & during more testing, there were others found elsewhere. ...but with all the prayers going up on my behalf, which I am so thankful of, I'm sure all will be ok. ...but again, with all the prayers, I am believing that all is well. I have been overwhelmed by the love, prayers, comments, notes, flowers, & kind words from so many friends & family. Jimmy & I have been in the Word , in prayer, & trusting that God is taking care of it all!
"Yes, I am human, and (have) times of crying, pouting, & asking "Why," but, God knows my heart. I know HE has all this & that I don't need to worry. It's a scary road I've not been down before, but I will, with HIS help, along with all the prayers & love I am getting from my friends & family! I hope you all know just how much I love you for all you are doing. I may not want to talk on the phone, but I do appreciate everyone of you & your prayers, which is what is getting me through this.
"I am sore, bruised, aching, but I'm alive & well in the Lord! ...the Lord & I are constantly in touch about everything that's going on! So, Please keep up the prayers, God is hearing them!"
July 22, 2015: "Hi folks, Jimmy here, ...for you dear friends and family who are praying for Renate...They said not curable (they don't know the God I Serve) but highly treatable...when (the doctors) see the spots have gone (and we believe this will happen) they will stop the chemo treatments. Thank you for continued prayers as we keep our focus on the healing and the mountaintop at the end of this valley!"
August 2015: "To all my friends and to my HeavenSound Family, one of our HeavenSound family members and a close friend of mine needs your prayers!! As many of you know, Renate Duty, wife of Jim Duty and long-time member of His Call, is currently undergoing cancer treatments and needs your prayers for healing.
"The Bible says in Matthew 18:19, "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." February 13, 2018: Renaté posted, "OK y'all, if you could see me now, you would see tears of pure joy!!! I wanted to share this with my friends & family prayer warriors! My doctor just told me that she looked at my mammogram many times because she couldn't believe it, but, the tumor in the breast is GONE!!! She even used the words "cancer free"!!!! PTL!!! The spots on my lungs are still there, smaller but stable, & have been for quite awhile, so she wants me to continue the antibodies infusion as precaution, but I'm believing for full & complete healing soon! But I will thank God for this good news!!!"
