Dear Friends and Family,
I am expecting a baby in May. Many of our friends have asked us if we have a baby registry. We do have it, but we have already recieved many baby items from people in the comminity.
What we truly need is suuport from friends and family to make our living possible for thoese two month I am not getting paid during my maternity leave in May and June.
Washignton State just passed into law the paid leave laws for employees. However, this benefit will only apply after 2020.
My husband, Shawn just started his farming business last year. Farming demands tremendous amount of work. He has additional supplimental job to support our family. We live on a very meager income.
This whole experience made me realized that many women in the States face these challenges of not being able to recieve public support. I admire all the mothers who overcame this hardship now.
I would like to ask help from you while we are welcoming a newest member of the family.
