Hip/leg surgery for Dawn

While at a dog park a puppy chased one of my dogs out of the park and down the street.  While chasing after them, my other dog, Dawn, ran into the street and was hit by a car.  I had to choose between putting her down or committing to saving her life.  I chose the latter, but the expenses are more than I could've imagined.  My bills could range between $15,000-$20,000 since I don't have insurance for her. I've spent $14,000 already but will have another large bill coming in a couple days.  She needs surgery to fix a dislocated hip and torn ligaments in her back leg on Monday.  Any amount will go a long ways toward saving her leg and her life.

Dawn is a 12yrs old chihuahua in great health and full of life .  She's so sweet, she loves to snuggle under the covers and always be close to us.  We adopted her from Muttville Senior Dog Rescue  last September, our second Muttville adoption.  We were fostering her and fell in love instantly.  She's such a huge part of our family and we can't imagine losing her like this, especially because the doctor has a very optimistic prognosis and expects her to recover fully.   We've dedicated the last several years to helping senior dogs get a second chance, now we're asking for help to ensure our beloved Dawn gets through this difficult situation.
