Hi, my name is Edie. I am the daughter of Penny.

Sadly my poor mum has fallen over on holiday and broke her hip (right at the top of her femur)

she won’t be able to walk for 4 weeks and no stairs for 6 weeks. We have a long road ahead of us.

She has been through a lot since this happened, spending 5 days in a public hospital in a corridor not being operated on.

Luckily i was able to move her to a private hospital here in Gran Canaria and they were able to do the operation. She is currently here now recovering.

Despite my mom taking out a platinum policy with admiral travel insurance they will only cover 70% of the bill. (Bastards)

It’s been a very stressful battle with the insurance company but we just want to get her home and be able to cover 30% of the bill.

I am going on maternity leave soon so feel a bit useless financially.

if you could donate anything you have to help her get out this hospital and back on her feet (literally) we would be eternally grateful.
