Hip Hip Hooray! Jayden gets a new hip!

Jayden was diagnosed with Legg-Calve Perthes disease when she was 6 years old. Legg–Calvé–Perthes disease (LCPD), is a childhood hip disorder initiated by a disruption of blood flow to the head of the femur. Due to the lack of blood flow, the bone dies (osteonecrosis or avascular necrosis) and stops growing. As you can imagine it is extremely painful.
     Throughout the years Jayden who is now 20 has endured dozens of doctors appointments, surgeries as well as extreme pain and limited movement. 2020 is going to be the year it gets better as Jayden is getting a hip replacement! It’s not often you hear of a 20 year old getting her hip replaced but we pray this will make her pain more manageable and end her limited movement and activities.
     February 11th we will be going to OHSU for her surgery. Jayden will be off work for at least a month. She will also have several doctor appointments before and after In Portland as well as physical therapy! Jayden is the kindest hard working  young women and I would love to see everyone give a lending hand to ease the burden during this time.
     Money raised will be used for gas, hotel stays and bills while off work. Any help is appreciated! Thanks so much!
