JUNE 4TH UPDATE:
#3H and #hillsboroughstong have raised $22,167.00 towards our goal of $30,000!
We have just begun our SECOND DISTRIBUTION to Hillsborough area hospitality industry employees, with 'tips' for each worker now up to $300.00!
Not only have many, many individuals contributed to this fund by donating or purchasing t-shirts, but also, the following local businesses deserve kudos for their efforts:
The WHUP 50/50 Fundraiser raised $2,571.00 and Hillsborough Wills & Trust, Colin & Jill Austen have donated $300.00, all in answer to Tom Struckmeyer, Edward Jones Investments call to match his donation of $3,000.00!
Knowing the limited occupancy, and therefore, limited income will continue even into Phase 3, please consider continuing to support our local workers! Donations can be made to either campaign below!
WORLD'S LARGEST TIP JAR - 2 CAMPAIGNS IN ONE
The Wooden Nickel and the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce are joining resources to help aid all service workers in our amazing town who have lost their jobs and their income, and we need your help to spread the word. We have two campaigns working together to build the biggest tip jar you’ve ever seen! Please support the people who take care you by participating in one of these options!
#3H, Hillsborough Hospitality Help Go Fund Me Campaign
The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce has opened this account for businesses (individuals welcome too!) to donate into a general fund! Funds raised here will be disbursed to all displaced employees of Hillsborough based businesses who are registered with either #Hillsborough Strong or who are referred to the chamber by the local employer. A challenge has been issued by Dr. Andrew Canada of Global Rx to all local businesses to donate to the HHH Go Fund Me account (#3H)!!
Dr. Canada will match up to a total of $5000.00 in donations from businesses!

The Wooden Nickel is hosting a campaign that allows you to tip your server directly through Venmo!! Direct a virtual 'tip' to any service worker on the list, via their individual Venmo account, you can find those folks Venmo account numbers here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qt1fxKngc2U60gU0fvXMyUHDh2JIvZE9G8kTLx9slh8/edit#gid=1012468690
Our one and only aim is to direct immediate funds into the hands of those who need them most. The best thing about Hillsborough, far and away, is our awesome and supportive community! Help us spread the word on this initiative and please consider placing a donation in this "tip jar" so that together, we can serve it to those who serve us!
