Hill Medical Emergency

Donation protected
Paul Hill, husband to Kassi, father to Morgan (FIL to Ryan), Taegen (FIL to Adam), Danika, Bradi, and Gracie was severely injured in September.

Paul was riding a horse, with a friend, when the horse he was riding threw him 8 feet into the air and he went crashing to the ground.  When he hit he broke 10 ribs, broke his collar bone in 2 places, broke his shoulder blade, and got a concussion.  His friend Jay (a firefighter) assessed him on scene and due to all his injuries had to call in for Paul to be air lifted out of the remote canyon they were in in Montana.  Paul was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Great Falls, MT, an hour from where they live.

Paul was kept in the hospital for 2 days while they assessed his injuries and watched his lungs to make sure he did not have a punctured lung from all the broken ribs.  He was released to go home and endured quite the drive home with all the broken bones, which cannot be casted, on their bumpy rural roads.

Paul was home less than 24 before he started having trouble breathing and Kassi had to get him back to the hospital.  At that time it was determined that he had a fever and a punctured lung and needed an immediate chest tube.  Paul was re-admitted to the hospital and had his chest tube inserted.  A 3-D X-ray has determined that some of his ribs are moving too much during his breathing so they continue to assess whether he will need to have his ribs surgically wired together.  Fluid is collecting in his lung and causes more procedures in order to drain that.  The hospital is working hard to manage his pain and nausea.  No date has been set yet for when Paul can return home.

As anyone may imagine the medical bills will continue to increase while Paul endures this long recovery.

Paul has spent his entire adulthood serving others.  He worked at Island Lake Camp serving our youth, then became the Executive Pastor at Silverdale Baptist Church/GracePoint serving his community along with multiple missions trips serving our world, now he is the Director at Montana Wilderness School of the Bible serving our young adults.

Paul is a man who lives to serve and now he needs to be served.  Can you help?  Even the smallest amount can help go towards the medical bills that they never expected to have.
