"We have been trying to put into words the sadness and devastation that has hit our family, but the truth is, there are no words. Our precious Neice, her unborn baby and three of her beautiful children (Greg, Emily and Megan Hill) were killed yesterday while worshiping their (our) Lord. Her husband, John Holcombe, and youngest child, Evelyn Hill, are still in the hospital but are expected to recover. Their oldest child, Phillip Hill, was not in attendance yesterday and was at home safe. John has also lost both his parents, his brother and his 18 month old niece.
Through all the pain we still hold on to the unshakable truth that we serve a mighty and just GOD. HE is on HIS throne and is kneeling down to hear our prayers and is collecting each and every tear we shed. We do not mourn their death because we are unsure of where they are, we mourn the loss of their presence in our lives. We have no doubt that their last breath here was their first breath in the presence of our GOD and HE welcomed them with open arms. We STILL serve an awesome GOD and no amount of evil in this world will ever change that. HE is the ROCK on which we will forever stand"

In April 2011, Crystal’s first husband, Peter Hill, passed away from a heart condition. They were married 12 years and had 5 children together - Phillip, Greg, Megan, Emily and Evelyn. Crystal and John Holcombe met at church and later married in 2012. John is a wonderful man who has lovingly raised the Hill children as his own. The Hills and Holcombes have and will always consider each other family.

For those curious as to who I am, I am from Floresville, TX. Peter Hill was a cousin of mine. His children were my cousins. Crystal was and will forever be a part of our family.
