<div>mein Name ist Martin, ich bin 62 Jahre alt und habe 45 Jahre lang mit ganzem Herzen als Krankenpfleger gearbeitet – ein Beruf, den ich immer als meine Berufung gesehen habe.

<div>Vor rund zwei Jahren hat ein nächtlicher Hausbrand unser Zuhause schwer beschädigt. Das Feuer zerstörte den gesamten Wohnbereich, und obwohl wir ein Jahr lang renovierten, blieben viele Kosten an uns hängen – die Versicherung übernahm leider nicht alles.

<div>Im Mai 2025 erhielt ich dann eine weitere bittere Nachricht: Blasenkrebs. Zunächst versuchten wir alles – gesunde Ernährung, alternative Wege, Gebet und Hoffnung. Doch im September blieb nur noch die Operation, die leider kompliziert verlief und mich ins künstliche Koma brachte. Im Oktober wurden zusätzlich Metastasen im Knochen festgestellt.

<div>Trotz allem geben wir die Hoffnung nicht auf. Wir vertrauen auf Gott, Liebe, Menschlichkeit

<div>Neben der gesundheitlichen Belastung kommen nun auch finanzielle Sorgen hinzu. Ab Dezember gehe ich in Rente, doch nach einem langen Berufsleben in der Pflege fällt diese leider gering aus.


</div>


<div>Nach dem Brand blieben uns Schulden von rund 13.000 Euro, dazu kommen 7.000 Euro für Medikamente und Behandlungen, die wir selbst tragen müssen. Eigentlich wollte ich neben der Rente weiterarbeiten – bis zum Sommer fühlte ich mich noch fit genug.
