</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>

<div>Support for a self-determined life despite health restrictions.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>My name is Mario Spadafora, I am 59 years old and have been a dialysis patient since December 2024. My treatment, which takes about four hours three times a week, and the associated impact on my everyday life, mean that my life is facing new challenges.
</div>
<div>Despite my health restrictions, it is important to me to organize my everyday life as independently as possible. To do this, I need support, especially with household chores, shopping and visits to the doctor. My impaired heat balance due to the illness also leads to increased energy and heating costs, which are a financial burden for me.
</div>
<div>I can look back on over 33 years of professional experience in a permanent and unterminated employment relationship with my current employer.
</div>
<div>Socially, I have volunteered for over 25 years as head of the soccer department at Germania Karlsruhe. J
</div>
<div>I am now facing the challenge of financing my time until I retire in 2030 - or earlier, depending on my health - as I will probably no longer be able to work full-time due to my illness.
</div>
<div>I am currently receiving sickness benefit and my situation afterwards is still unclear. In order to be able to cope with my everyday life in a suitable environment, I am looking for a 1-room apartment in the Ettlingen/Karlsruhe area, preferably on the first floor and with washing machine and dryer connections. The rent should be within the scope of the takeover by the social welfare office.
</div>
<div>In addition, adaptations to my current attic apartment are necessary to cope with the extreme temperatures in summer: these include converting the shutters to electric control, a mobile air conditioning unit and small structural measures for exhaust air ducting. Unfortunately, my landlord doesn't want to cover these costs.
</div>
<div>I have already taken steps such as applying for a severely disabled person's pass and a degree of care, as well as arranging a consultation appointment with the social services. However, despite all my efforts, the loss of my earned income poses a major financial challenge.
</div>
<div>With your support, I could make the necessary adjustments and close the financial gap until I retire. I am grateful for any form of help that enables me to cope with my everyday life despite health restrictions and continue to actively participate in life.
