<div>Ndeda Island liegt mitten im Viktoriasee in Kenia. Die 1.000 Inselbewohner leben hier meistens in einfachen Blechhütten ohne fließendes Wasser. Die Insel ist abgelegen, die wirtschaftlichen Möglichkeiten sind begrenzt, und für viele ist es kaum möglich, die Insel überhaupt zu verlassen.

<div>Die Wasserqualität im Viktoriasee hat sich in den letzten Jahren dramatisch verschlechtert. Früher wurde das Seewasser zum Kochen und Waschen genutzt, heute ist es durch den sinkenden Wasserstand und die Erwärmung stark mit Bakterien und Algen belastet. Dadurch breiten sich Krankheiten wie Typhus und Leishmaniose aus.

<div>Umso wichtiger ist die Wasserfiltrationsanlage, die ich vor vier Jahren auf der Insel installiert habe. Sie kann Seewasser filtern und als sauberes Trinkwasser bereitstellen. Seitdem hat sie über 700.000 Liter aufbereitet und damit die Gesundheit und Lebensqualität vieler Menschen verbessert.

<div>Doch nun ist die Anlage defekt. Die betreuende Organisation existiert nicht mehr, es fehlt an Ersatzteilen und Wartung. Ohne eine rasche Reparatur droht der Zusammenbruch der Trinkwasserversorgung, mit schweren Folgen für die gesamte Inselgemeinschaft.

<div>Mit deiner Spende möchten wir die Anlage instand setzen, Ersatzteile beschaffen, die Wartung dauerhaft sichern und den Zugang zu sauberem Trinkwasser für Ndeda Island erhalten.

<div>An Ersatzteilen brauche ich 2 mal Ultrafiltrationsmembranen a 1000 Euro, 5 UV Ersatzlampen für die nächsten 5 Jahren. Einen neuen Mehrweg Vorfilter, eine Dosierpumpe mit neuen Chemikalien. Da, die Insel sehr abgelegen ist, ist der Transport dahin leider sehr teuer. Was ich aber selbst tragen kann, nehme ich mit.

<div>Ndeda Island is located in the heart of Lake Victoria, Kenya. It is home to approximately 1,000 residents who live in modest conditions, often without access to clean drinking water. The island is remote, with limited economic opportunities; therefore, for many, leaving is simply not an option.

<div>In recent years, the quality of the lake water has deteriorated severely. Once used for cooking and washing, the water is now heavily contaminated due to rising temperatures and declining water levels. As a result, illnesses such as typhoid and leishmaniasis have become more common.
</div>

<div>In response to this growing crisis, I personally installed a water filtration system on the island four years ago. This system has provided over 700,000 liters of drinking water since then and has helped improve the health situation of the community.
</div>

</div>
<div>However, the system now needs urgent maintenance. The organization that once supported its operation has ceased to exist. Spare parts are unavailable, and there is no technical support. Without immediate action, the people of Ndeda Island are at serious risk of losing their source of clean drinking water.

<div>I am seeking your support to repair the filtration system, source essential spare parts, and ensure long-term access to clean water for the entire community.
