<div>Zwei Schüler des Barnim-Gymnasiums Berlin haben etwas geschafft, das es so noch nicht gab: Als einziges deutsches Team der Altersklasse Junior haben sie sich für die World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Open Championship Asia-Pacific in Hyderabad, Indien, qualifiziert.

<div>Die beiden Schüler sind seit Jahren Teil der Robotik-AG des Barnim-Gymnasiums, das seit 2001 zum MINT-EC-Netzwerk gehört und gezielt Nachwuchs in Technik und Informatik fördert. Mittlerweile geben sie ihr Wissen ehrenamtlich an jüngere Schülerinnen und Schüler weiter und coachen als Vorbilder in Camps und AGs – gerade auch, um mehr Mädchen für Technik zu begeistern.

<div>Warum wir eure Hilfe brauchen:

<div>Die Reise- und Teilnahmekosten für die Meisterschaft in Indien liegen bei rund 6.000 Euro. Die Anmeldefrist läuft bereits am 13. Juli ab – die Zeit ist knapp. Ohne zusätzliche Unterstützung könnten die beiden trotz ihrer herausragenden Leistung nicht teilnehmen.

<div>Jeder Beitrag hilft – ob 5, 20 oder 100 Euro. Gemeinsam ermöglichen wir zwei engagierten jungen Menschen, Deutschland auf internationaler Bühne zu vertreten.

<div>Die gesammelten Spenden werden direkt an die Schule überwiesen und kommen zu 100% der Reise des Teams zugute. Alles, was über das Spendenziel hinausgeht, fließt in die Robotik-AG des Barnim-Gymnasiums und kommt damit zukünftigen Nachwuchstalenten zugute.

<div>Two students at Barnim-Gymnasium Berlin have achieved something that's never happened before: as Germany's only team in the Junior age category, they've qualified for the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Open Championship Asia-Pacific in Hyderabad, India.

<div>Both students have been part of Barnim-Gymnasium's robotics club for years. The school has belonged to the MINT-EC network since 2001 and actively supports young talent in technology and computer science. The two now volunteer their time coaching younger students in camps and clubs – helping to get more girls excited about tech in the process.

<div>Travel and participation costs for the championship in India come to around €6,000. Registration closes on July 13 – time is tight. Without additional support, the two of them wouldn't be able to attend despite their outstanding achievement.
