Hilary & Lucas Cameron

Hi friends! This GoFundMe is for a dear friend of mine.  Some of you know Hilary and know her story.  For those who don't, Hilary and her ten year old son Lucas moved to Cumming just over a year ago.  Hilary works as the Director of Volunteer Engagement at Meals by Grace, which is a local organization that provides food to hungry families in our community.  Hilary loves helping others.  Her goal is to get her degree as a social worker. Hilary recently celebrated 4 years of sobriety through AA and has joined the Bible Study that I lead in my home on Friday mornings.  Hilary has been such a delight to have in our group.  We have welcomed her with open arms and appreciate her child-like faith.  She has recently come to know Jesus and it has been beautiful to see her growing so much in her faith over the past several months.  Hilary is humble and intelligent.  She is authentic and joyful and kind.  She works hard in her job and has persevered through many difficulties in her life.  She is an amazing mother to Lucas.  Lucas is such an incredible gift!  He loves his mom and he loves Jesus too!  Every night at 8:30 p.m. he stops what he is doing to read the Bible with Hilary.  The reason for this GoFundMe is that Hilary has been suffering from severe back pain for the past 2 weeks and has not been able to get out of bed much, except to see her doctors and do some light self-care and help Lucas some.  She does not have insurance and the bills are piling up.  And since she can't work, she isn't making any money to even cover her usual bills.  Any amount that you can give to support Hilary and Lucas will have a huge impact.  I pray that God will use those of us who are willing and able to give during this season to show Hilary that her Father in heaven will always provide for her needs.  I ask you to join me in prayer and a donation of any amount for Hilary and Lucas.  I am thankful for your support and love and care!
