The 48 Project: Hike Against Hunger

Tax deductible
Nearly 22 million low-income kids from communities across the country rely on the free and reduced-price meals they receive at school. For many, these meals may be the only nutritious food that they’ll receive on a given day. With schools either closing or weighing the option to do so in districts nationwide due to COVID-19, children may be left without that critical lifeline to healthy meals.

No child should go hungry. In an effort to raise money and awareness against childhood hunger during this time, as well as encourage healthy self-isolation methods, I will attempt to hike all 48 4000' mountains in New Hampshire in a 48 day stretch while working 48 hours a week. I am mitigating as much risk as possible to local resources by front-loading all low risk hikes, monitoring weather changes/patterns, and over-preparing for any circumstances so that social distancing will not be compromised.

I understand that finances are tight for many of my friends and family right now. Any size donation, or even just sharing this page, helps immensely. 100% of donations will go straight to The No Kid Hungry Campaign. In advance, I appreciate any contributions to support me and the campaign I stand behind.

More information about Share Our Strength: The No Kid Hungry campaign connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals. The campaign also engages the public to make ending child hunger a national priority.
