Hike 4 Mom's Memorial Scholarship

Hello,
My name is Aaron Lipp. I am writing to you today to reach out to ask for help for a cause that is very important to me and my family. We experienced quite a tragedy this past spring...my mother, father and grandfather were in a motor vehicle accident in May (2014). My grandfather died instantly and my mother passed away 6 weeks later from the injuries she sustained in the crash.
My mother was a devoted educator at Paulding Elementary School in Paulding, Ohio, for over four decades. She taught generations of children in her community...many of whom still refer to her as "Mrs. Lipp." Since her passing, it has been a hope of mine to start a memorial scholarship in her name. She took a lot of pride in her work as a teacher and always did her best to educate the youth of her community. The aim of my reaching out to you is to raise money for this scholarship because I want to honor her and the work she did.
She and my father also rescued greyhounds and schnauzers for many years. They took in countless dogs over the past 2 decades. My mother was a truly loving caregiver... whether it be for children or for animals.
My goal is to raise enough money to provide an annual scholarship in my mother's name to a Paulding High School graduate. The scholarship would go to a student who planned to further their education and ultimately work as an educator or a veterinarian.
This coming spring I will begin a month-long hike on the Appalachian Trail. My anticipated 377 mile-long hike will begin on Springer Mountain, Georgia (Fannin County) and finish at Carver's Gap near Johnson City, Tennessee. The aim of this hike is to help raise money for the scholarship.
My wife Caroline is helping me plan and prepare for the trip, and the Lipp family feels blessed for the opportunity to pursue this goal. We would greatly appreciate any donations you could make towards our cause. Whether you donate a certain amount per mile hiked or just a set amount, it will be a great help. Any donation would get us one step closer to our goal and be greatly appreciated.
