Hiibner Support Fund

UPDATE***

This week will mark the sixth week that our beloved Jonathan left us... The past six weeks have been extremely painful as we said goodbye and have had to settle into life without Jonathan. The Hiibner family so appreciates the support of family and friends during this time, as it has helped to provide some degree of comfort during this time of grief.

We will keep this GoFundMe page open for a while as the costs are still coming In (now $17K) for Jonathan's transfer to Utah and funeral services. The donations have truly helped ease some of the burden on the family during this difficult time.

On behalf of the entire Hiibner family, thank you again for all of the love and support - we are forever grateful.

Jonathan Hiibner, age 19 passed away unexpectedly on June 6th, 2019. His passing was an accident, and a tremendous shock to all that loved him so dearly. If you knew Jonathan, you knew he was a presence that is hard to put into words. His smile, his laugh, his energy and his heart lit up a room like nobody else could. The love he had for his family ran so deep. He was a devoted son who loved his parents so much and the love he had for his siblings was felt by each of them every day. Also, he loved and cared for his many, many friends. He would do anything for you if you needed help or support. His caring and giving spirit touched so many - he was a beautiful boy that turned into a warm, wonderful, loving adult. And he is gone way before he should be, a loss that all who loved him will carry with them forever.

Jonathan passed away in Oregon, where he lived with his two brothers Jordan and Curran. He had always said that when he did pass he would want to rest in Mendon, Utah - the home of his dad Craig's family and extended family. It's a beautiful and peaceful place and we know that Jonathan will rest easy there.

Many people have asked how they may be able to help. We set up this go fund me page as a way to both allow friends and family to support the Hiibner family as well as for the practical reason of helping to offset the higher than average costs. Due to Jonathan living in Oregon and his desire to return to Mendon, Utah, expenses for Jonathan's services are unusually high.

The funds will go directly towards covering transportation, funeral services and securing Jonathan's final resting place.

The funds will be handled by myself, Jonathan's stepmom on behalf of Craig, Carol, Jordan, Curran and the Hiibner family.
