As you may know, many employees in the hospitality industry make a minimum hourly wage and rely heavily on tips to make a living.
On March 17, 2020, Governor Pritzker made the difficult decision to shut down all bars and restaurants in Illinois due to the threat of COVID-19. Like many other establishments, HighLine in Chicago, IL was one of the restaurants gravely affected, forcing the parent company to lay off all current employees. This has left our hardworking team of 50+ workers (front of house and back of house) without a job or income during this difficult time.
We are humbly asking for your support. 100% of the proceeds raised from this campaign will directly benefit the HighLine staff and help the members of our team that need it the most.
Think of this as a "Virtual Bar" allowing you to leave a "tip" to support and minimize the financial burden that many members of our team will endure over the coming weeks.
