Highland Park, IL Parade Shooting Victims Fund

Donation protected
UPDATE, Sept. 26: Thank you to everyone who contributed for the Highland Park Victims’ Fund via VictimsFirst. We appreciate your kindness and compassion. We have closed the funds to further donations.

We have collected $937,175.43 in total (to date) with online/offline donations and will be granting those funds to the Highland Park Community Foundation’s July 4th Parade Shooting Response Fund for Only Categories A, B and C to ensure that victims are directly helped. 100% of what we have collected, every penny, will go directly to victims. (Category D goes to nonprofits, not to victims themselves).

VictimsFirst has also been helping those Highland Park victims -- families of deceased, wounded/injured, and survivors present and in the line of fire -- with direct, financial aid. We learned recently that VictimsFirst was the only one to have provided this kind of help in the Highland Park area. We have also helped those victims/survivors with other resources.

We will continue to help those present/present in the line of fire as our General Victims’ Fund allows.

Thank you, again, to every one of you for donating. In the future, please always make sure that 100% of every dollar you donate goes Directly to victims.

If you still have donations that you would like to get Directly to victims, do as we have and donate to the Highland Park July 4th Parade Shooting Response Fund and Designate your donation for Only Categories A, B and C.

We hope and pray, each time, that we will never have to start another victims' fund again.

From our mass shooting families who comprise VictimsFirst, a big thank you to you all!

---------------------------------------
We are devastated by this. We have families involved in VictimsFirst who were born and grew up and still live in Illinois.

We have launched this centralized victims fund on GoFundMe, so 100% of what we collect will go DIRECTLY to the families of the deceased and the injured of the mass shooting that took place today (July 4th) at the parade in Highland Park, IL.

Our mass shooting families across the nation are in grief with you. We know these families are now on the path to learning how to navigate what will become a new way of thinking, feeling and living.

Our hearts are with everyone in Highland Park. As we have done for many mass shooting families before to protect them from fraud and exploitation, we are now collecting donations in order to make sure the victims’ families and those injured from the direct impact of this event receive the funds Directly.

Our families have been re-victimized in the past by nonprofits that collect funds for themselves after a mass shooting saying they will “support” or "help" the families which is usually the verbiage used when donations do not go Directly to the victim base itself.

We will find a way to get the funds directly to the families. We always have.

We have done the same in:

Uvalde, TX
Buffalo, NY
Collierville, TN
Indianapolis, IN
Boulder, CO
Atlanta, GA
El Paso, TX
Sutherland Springs, TX

Please join with our families across the nation to help our new, unfortunate family of this July 4th parade shooting in Highland Park, IL. They need you now.
