HIFU treatment for Christ

This is a fund raising to finance a medical procedure, called HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound), to eradicate the cancer cells in my (Christ Platteeuw) prostate.
End of July 2017, the PSA score in my annual blood test was exceptionally high. The urologist performed a biopsy and I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer (Gleason 3-4, indicating: mildly aggressive). Indeed, I'm one of the 1 in 7 man who get prostate cancer, this puts statistics in a new perspective. Bone Scans and MRI's done at the end of August were a little inconclusive, so more test will need to determine if the cancer has metastasized. While one can never be sure of this.
There are several treatment options for Prostate Cancer, but the best option with an excellent outcome and the lowest risk of side effects is called HIFU. Less side effects means higher quality of life. While the procedure is approved by the FDA, it is not reimbursed by insurances. The cost is $25,000. There is a little urgency, the faster I can get the procedure, the less the risk of metastasis.
With savings and maximizing credit cards I can’t make it to this sum, so I’ll need a loan, If It get approved. So it is here at the end that I ask for your support.
