Hello,
My journey started in 2014 when I noticed a lump above My right clavicle (collarbone) which kept getting larger, typical guy, I thought it would go away. After a few biopsies it was found to be stage ll with symptoms hodgkin's lymphoma.
I found the best cancer doctor and We planned a course of attacking this cancer with medication, chemotherapy (ABVD) and finally with radiation. After 8 month's of treatment which included losing My hair, nausea and a 40 lb weight loss things were looking great. The cancer, hodgkin lymphoma was showing signs of going into remission, YEAH. A follow up PET (positron emission tomography) scan showed just that, My body along with the drug's and My fantastic medical team had beat this this cancer into remission!
But, something else was lurking, the scan showed that I had developed advanced prostate cancer. After a most uncomfortable biopsy of My prostate I was staged at T3b,the cancer had grown into tissues next to My prostate including My seminal vesicles.
Well coming off a rough year with the hodgkin lymphoma treatment, My doctor thought best We waited with the planned course of radiation until I got some strength back, surgery would have been to risky, as the cancer had spread outside of My prostate. After 6 or so month's of getting My strength back, the radiation started, 44 rounds of radiation followed and were completed and I am happy to say, it looks' like this damn cancer is also in remission.
Happy and joyful to put cancer behind Me finally and looking forward to the future, out of the blue I developed chest pains and rushed to the ER and was admitted. After many test's and scan's and echo's it was found that My heart had taken a beating with all the cancer treatment's and My left ventricle took the most damage, My ejection fraction (the amount of blood pumped through the left ventricle) had dropped from 50% pre cancer to less then 15%, My heart is a ticking time bomb. My doctor decided for the heart attack that is more then likely going to happen to install an ICD(implantable cardioverter defibrillator) to shock My heart back to life in case of the heart attack.
So that is where I am in life, what's next, I hope nothing. This has affected My work, I missed alot of work due to all these treatment's and recovery. My work has been wonderful to Me and has stood beside Me through all My treatment's. (even shaving their head's when My hair fell out from chemo) My family and friend's have really stood by Me and were always there when I needed help. But My fund's are getting exhausted and I urgently need your help to pay down My medical bill's.
Your help is needed now, any size contribution is welcomed and appreciated.
