Nakesha was a wonderful lady. I enjoyed many days/evenings sitting on the sidelines during games watching and cheering for boys playing football. She had a wonderful sense of humor , which is why we hit-it-off so quickly. Kaben, we are thinking of you and praying for you. "Slim" has sent prayers for God to touch your hurting heart. Funny what kind of memories pop up when someone you love passes. I remembered My cousin Nakesha Horton prank calling a girl that I didn't get along with in high school when she was up in NC visiting. She was always so much fun. I will truly miss this about her. I hope to be able to make it to GA for your homegoing service. I love you always, forever.
The hardest part of any friendship is when it is time to say goodbye, and even though i wish i could make you stay, i know i got to let you spread your wings and fly. For life is a journey that needs to be traveled and I'm certain you'd make it through, those pearly gates. I just want you to know and never forget that i will surely miss you. Today my heart is heavy, I'm filled with emotion and somewhat in denial over the loss of a Great Friend. She was an amazing fun and loving young woman with a beautiful spirit. I love you to Heaven and back Nakesha Horton and I will miss you. You are forever in my heart.
Father God,
You are faithful when we are faithless. You are not confined by time. In our finite minds, we want to confine You, an infinite God, to our time schedule. Your definition of time is totally different from ours. Lazarus was dead 4 days in the tomb, but God!!! You can interrupt death and life starts again because you are God. You are awesome like that, Lord. You are the Resurrection and the Life. You are the Lord of the Breakthrough!!!! I just want to thank you for showing your continued faithfulness towards my family. To my loving Toots!! So many good times together and so many things to remember. I will never forget your smiling face and loving heart!! I am sad for me and all the ones that will no longer have you in their life but I have faith that you are okay. I told Marty to look for you and to show you the way.
