Help for Milo

Milo was conceived to a mom who already was a single mom to a 4 year old. Milo's mom gave birth to him on 4/22/14. Immediately after birth, the doctors noticed that Milo was having abnormal movements accompanied with his vital stats dropping dangerously low. Milo was transported by emergency ambulance to Children's Hospital NICU hospital 12 hours after birth. His mom was discharged immediately and went to the NICU to be with him. Milo received tests including a spinal tap,a brain MRI, xrays, and an extensive EEG study. The tests were inconclusive and Milo was sent home 3 days later. Milo continued to receive home visits with nurses and be seen as an outpatient by Children's. Over the next several months, it was determined that Milo had torticollis/plagiocephaly, hypertonia, and global developmental delays. He also suffers from numerous GI issues as well as unspecified neuro disorders. Milo has yet to be formally diagnosed but his doctors suspect he has cerebral palsy. Milo's mom is unable to work due to Milo's health and constant appointments - he sees an occupational therapist, physical therapist, and chiropractor on a weekly basis - in addition to the numerous specialists following him.

Despite his health conditions, Milo is a very happy, sweet boy. He has a million dollar smile and beautiful blue eyes!
