Hello everyone and thank you for reading this. Bill and I have been together for the past 7 years. We have been married for the past 2. Over a year ago, as many of you know, Bill and I started the adoption process. We have had a couple of let downs and some hopes fall through, but that has never stopped us from wanting to grow our family. Luckily we finally had the opportunity and on October 27th our son was born weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces. That was the happiest day of our lives. We held him and instantly fell in love with him and he has never left our side since then. He is perfectly healthy and is growing every day. We spent 3 days with him in the hospital until he was discharged and then we spent another 7 days out of town in a hotel until we got the clearance to come home. We have been at home for the past 2 weeks and let me tell you it’s a complete whirlwind of emotions. All great, being fathers is what we were made to do in our lives.
As many of you know, adoption is a difficult and expensive process, especially when there are complications. To date we have spent over $30,000 to build our family. Unfortunately some legal issues have come up and we have almost tapped out all of our resources. We’re now turning to you for any help you may be able to provide us to keep our family together. The legal actions that we will need to take have just begun and we anticipate the cost to be more than we can currently afford.
We need to raise more money for legal costs to keep this small but very important little man in our lives. Having our son for these past 3 weeks has changed our lives for the better and we can’t imagine our family without him. If you can please look at your family and see how important it is to you, that is what this little man means to us. We wouldn’t be asking for help if this wasn’t so very important to us to keep our son with the only parents he has known in his short time in the world. If there is anything you can do to help it would be amazing and so very much appreciated.
