A home for Christmas

We PSCD to fort Lewis in October... when we first left Georgia we were told we would need to wait 30 days to get in a house.... 30 turned to 60 ...60 turned to 90 and we have been homeless since we got here. Luckily we found people nice enough to let us stay with them. We didn’t receive BAH In November because we owed on post housing for October and received $200 back. We received partial BAH for December and was told we could get an advance for bah ($1900.) We found an apartment that allows dogs and that we could afford and we are now being told we cannot get an advance....because we received partial bah....... take into consideration that we have to use our funds to put down our deposit for an apartment and buy coats, boots, clothes, and food all while being displaced. My kids have no toys, no extra clothes other than what we brought...we have none of our things from our home. And can’t get them until we get a home....I was supposed to move into an apartment on the 7th with the help of the army but seeing as we cannot get any help we are put in a corner. We also cannot get an AER because the beginning of the year our house in Georgia needed a roof and we needed extra funds to be able to sell.... I never ask for help but I’m desperately trying to not lose this apartment. We cannot afford to rent a house because all houses want a deposit that is the same amount as first months rent $1800+ as well as extremely high pet deposits. This apartment is all we’ve found that allows our animal breeds and isn’t out of reach financially. .......but we couldn’t get the help we were told we could. Please if you have anything to give ANYTHING helps. Even if I don’t get the full amount I can drain what small emergency savings I have to make this happen.
