Apartment Burned Down :(

My block of apartments burned down this morning. I'm left with nothing but my cats, who thankfully made it out traumatized, but alive.  Now my beloved Bucket needs at least 24 hours of oxygen therapy and the vet is unable to estimate the cost because we don't know the duration of the treatment. The roof collapsed right over my apartment (we were on the top floor). An investigation is still ongoing as to the cause of the fire. Nothing like this is ever expected, so how do you prepare for a tragedy like this? Anything you are able to give will help and be greatly appreciated. I'd like to say thank you to the first responders who put out the fire and found Mommy and Bucket, as well as the Red Cross for providing assistance immediately after the fire. News Report of Fire
