BRING VERA HOME!
Donation protected
On December 1, 2022, Vera suffered two major strokes following triple bypass surgery. Though the strokes left her with significant weakness in her body, her spirit is strong, and she's faced this stroke recovery with grace, optimism, resolve, and courage!
Due to the limitations she still faces, their home - The Cozy Little Cabin - will require a remodel to modify it to Vera's needs. We have contracted with a trusted and loved friend who we know will equip their home for her to return safely!
In addition to construction/remodel expenses, Vera will be staying in residential rehab so she can focus on regaining her strength, learning compensatory skills, and practicing living as independently and safely as possible. In addition to medical bills associated with surgery and stroke rehab, residential rehab is costly!
Vera is a beloved wife, mom, sister, cousin, mentor, community volunteer, sister-in-Christ, and friend to many, and we are thankful for the prayers and support that have been sent on our behalf thus far. Truly she is well-loved! Many have asked about how to support financial needs, and we now have a clear picture of what Vera and Murray are facing:
Remodel - $7500
Residential Rehab - $5,000-$6000
Additional medical/rehab bills already acquired - unknown, estimated to be in the tens of thousands once hospital bills start coming in.
We know that where there is a need, God has a plan to meet it! We're thankful for any and all support, and know that God turns pennies into miracles! If you feel called, and are able to help BRING VERA HOME, we are so very thankful for being a part of her story! She's done her part to work hard at this recovery, let's help her get home to the Cozy Little Cabin!
With deepest gratitude,
Vera, Murray, and family
