Hero's for Heidi

On September 21st, 2017 my sister was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has metastasized to her pelvic and tail bones.  She immediately started hormone therapy and because its estrogen driven, her doctor recommended a complete hysterectomy which she’s scheduled to receive on November 16th. 


So far with the treatment she's receiving she has felt little side effects such as light headedness, low energy, and some joint pain.  And because of the kind of cancer it is, she'll never be cancer free but our hope is it'll be held at bay and will not spread further.  


After the procedure she will continue to have hormone treatments, constant blood work and multiple scans as the doctors will want to keep a close eye on her.  All of these things cost an incredible amount of money and insurance will only cover so much. 


As her family we feel helpless and want so much to help them. In times like this it's so hard to be so far away when all we want is to be there every step of the way. Every doctors appointment, every treatment, every test.... I've been racking my brain on what to do. 


So Im calling all the Hero's out there! Your donation will go to the aid of current treatments and any future procedures she may need.  It'll help with any expense be it for medical or everyday life...anything they may need.  They are a family of 4 (plus two pretty awesome fur babies) and still need to carry on everyday life  as normal....well with their new normal.  This fight is forever and they don't need the financial stresses it brings.  


Heidi's overall outlook is extremely positive.  She's strong, relentless, and it's against every fiber in her body to give up. They've been through the roughest of times with my nieces spina bifida and always come out of it stronger than anyone I've ever seen. 

This family...as a whole...is my Hero but now they need our help...
