Donation protected
Heron Help is a startup non-profit dedicated to providing extra help to shorelines, coastlines, riverways, waterways and the flora/fauna nearby.
Some posts will provide some ideas, incite & concepts coinciding with the topics listed above.

Heron Help has been doing small river cleans or #2minutebeachcleans in areas along the Owenabue river and some bays/beaches around Cork Harbour.

Currently, we have 10 members. Through this fundraiser we're hoping to get more kayaks & equipment to help with clean up activities. The target has been set quite high because it's more a long term aim through fundraising.
The more equipment Heron Help has, the more active and impactful we can be as time goes on

More will be added to this fundraiser to showcase what we do through Heron Help.

23/09/2021 update:

Since beginning this venture traction has grown, interest in helping has grown, interest in collaberating with others in the same field, linking with associations, non-profits, charities, researchers, scientists, more... has all become familiar territory through Heron Help.

Over the next few months this page will get updated when time allows! If you want tohelp, find us on social media under 'Heron Help', or 'heron_help' !

While things have been busy, it hasn't always been possible to keep updates flowing! This is why help would be very good. The total fundraising goal has changed. This is now to allow for the estimates given for prices surrounding Ribs, kayaks, storage facilities along with the necessary amount of safety gear to coincide. We ARE actively, sometimes proactively pursuing avenues for receiving suitable offers. Knowing an Adventure Centre called Funkytown has good quality kayaks, knowing the journey Funkytown has gone on with having seen their adventure centre grow over the decades, Heron Help wants to support them. How this is being done is by choosing Funkytown as the place that we will purchase our kayaks through when fundraising totals allow!

Thus far, €25 is donated. This donation was received after what was likely the intro post on our social media and what was very likely the only post surrounding the fundraiser that any effort at all was gone to - simply because all is voluntary so working in time to dedicate regularly to public postings, photo taking while doing cleans, river walks, river checks, more...is quite difficult with how limited in network, resources and facilities we currently are through Heron Help.

More information regarding facilities, what uses the rib will get, why it'd be good having more kayaks on hand will be shared throughout the coming weeks, months, maybe years depending on how long things take! If Heron Help's active and proactive volunteers increase we'll be in a good place. How this will be done is through a website that is currently being worked on.
Where progress is at with the website is as follows...
- We're in talks crafting a layout that'll suit prior to finalising cost breakdowns.

Question:
Costs? In a start-up nonprofit?

Answer:
Yes! Absolutely!
Heron Help wants to support businesses as well as wildlife, flora, fauna, all who live around it
(Everyone and everything where possible, yeah! Absolutely - At Heron Help, we do accept sponsors, donations, gifts, items for auction.. We are as open as we can be for collaboration, too! This is why Heron Help hopes to reach the goal set, currently! This is also why Heron Help wants to hit a higher goal if cost estimates have to increase and along the way we're going to do our very best at keeping those who tune in to our social media pages, leaflet / mini-magazine highlighting good work done by individuals who allow Heron Help to show their work, by Heron Help Volunteers, by helpers and maybe even other nonprofits / charities / possibly businesses that collaborate on projects, initiatives, mini events like our cleans and wildlife checks while out on cleans / walks / jogs / kayaks thus far...Yes - that's correct, we're hoping to contribute to helping the world thrive as a whole while contributing to helping life prosper on Mars if it means we can expand into an extremely small fraction of the known universe....Quite wild sounding, but exciting!! Join our journey in whatever way you can - you're more than welcome to and we'll support you right back where possible, and if possible (: And that's just that for this bracket of text).

That's all for this brief update! Photos of more recent mini events and more will be added to here in due course. Check out Facebook or Instagram for slightly more up-to-date happenings!
