HEROES IN NEED

My name is Dustin Goldman and this fund is for my brother Officer Alex Colles who has risked his life time and time again for this country. He is the definition of selfless. In the army he served 18 months in Iraq. Today he suits up every night to keep us safe as a K9 police officer. His partner Mutin is his best friend. They are inseparable. Mutin is unlike most police officers since he has four legs and a tail! This dog would take a bullet not only for my brother, but also their family. I say their family because Mutin is a part of my brothers family. Mutin's favorite thing to do off-duty is standing on patrol for my brother and his wife’s one year old daughter. She thinks it’s the funniest thing in the world but is not quite old enough to understand the love Mutin has for her. Mutin leads their household pack that consists of Harley (Sharpei/Boxer) Duke (Chocolate Lab), and Nikki (Siberian Husky) that would be so lost should my brother not be able to afford to keep him during a department transition. While switching departments is a huge opportunity for him, we can’t bear to see him not be able to afford to keep his best friend. The city of Pataskala, Ohio has graciously offered to let my brother keep Mutin for $7,500. While my brother would do anything to keep his partner by his side, raising a family costs a lot. With having an infant my brother simply cannot afford that big of a blow to his family. However, I cannot sit back and watch him lose his partner, best friend, and most importantly a family member because of money.  Please consider helping both of these hero’s stay together by raising enough funds.
