Her Fight is Our Fight

My sister, Raquel LeClercq, was recently diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer that has spread to her bones. As of right now her doctor is looking at starting immunotherapy drugs and then chemo. She will have a biopsy of lymph node and then she'll go from there to see what things look like specifically ahead. 

Those of you who know me and my sister know that due to our age gap and that up until my teens we lived in different states.  So we didn't really get the chance to have a typical sister/sister relationship.  But one thing has never changed about our relationship... she's always had my back when I needed it (not to wipe my tears or anything...just to kick everyone's ass, remind me when I was being dumb, or to protect me despite the crowd I ran with). And I plan on having hers through this. 

You should also know that she is currently taking care of our Grandfather in her home who recently has just gotten out of the hospital and rehabilitation for pancreatitis. Not to mention caring for her littlest kiddos, Madi and Baylor. 

We are setting up this page because I know she does not want to burden others by asking for help, but she deserves it. She is definitely a fighter. The money will be used as necessary for bill coverage, medical costs that aren't covered by insurance, and to help care for their family so that she or Robert do not need to stress over monetary burdens when they need to be focusing on caring for each other and their family. 

I will update as we get more information on test results.
