Help Here2Help Strengthen Communities and Provide Support
During these unprecedented times, we're facing challenges amongst our communities and neighbourhoods. Many groups and individuals are exposed to greater risks due to the lack of and inaccessibility of services. Here2Help Community aims to minimize these risk factors through community outreach opportunities and community building events.
Here2Help Community is a non-profit tech organization focused on innovative solutions to ensure the growth of resilient communities generations into the future.
Our goal is to provide an intuitive user platform to seamlessly provide help and receive support within your own community. To start, those seeking help will be able to request assistance of any kind within these 4 categories:
Connections
Pet Care
Help at Home
Rides
Volunteers will be able to search through the postings to offer their assistance in areas that they are able.
Volunteer data will be saved for individuals to track their hours to use for résumé credentials and more! In the future, volunteers can gain 'community credits' to spend at local partnered shops and organizations, alongside many other member benefits we are working to provide.
Besides the 4 categories of our initial app, we are working to provide more benefits to users and our community, including:
Virtual Events (check our blog to join in on our first ones!)
Community events and fundraisers
Tool and skill swaps
Lending libraries
Language support
Direct connection to community mental health resources
And more!
We hope by increasing community connections through the app, we can create innovative solutions for community groups and bridge social inequalities together. We want to strengthen our local communities, and understand each community's unique needs.
So far, we have created this app entirely through volunteer effort. We are hoping to raise $15,000 to pay for operational costs and expenses, and to fund future platform developments.
Raising above this amount means that we will be able to expand our reach to further communities and expand our network of collaborative help. Any size donation will help us work towards our goals.
Once support milestones are met, we will send out updates through our channels to let you know where your contributions are directly supporting our project and communities. We would love to have you involved.
