An online fundraising and awareness campaign by the Child Advocacy Society of the University of Alberta for the Zebra Centre running from 1 September 2020 - 31 October 2020.
Most children who have experienced child abuse suffer in silence which gives a false impression that it is rare.
In reality, a third of Canadians report experiencing child abuse and over 90% of them do not come forward before the age of 15.
We believe that it is of utmost importance for us to come together to change the status quo, to create a safe space for children to refer to for help, to educate the public on recognizing the signs of child abuse, and the ways to handle it.
Our mission is to spread the importance of child advocacy and provide meaningful support by fundraising for the Zebra Centre and CASUA through our campaign, Herd for Help.
Contribute and receive a gift from one of our sponsors! However, the catch is that we have a limited number of gifts to give contributors, so it is on a first-come, first-served basis until the last gift is gone. Tax receipts are not available due to the nature of this fundraiser and as some proceeds will go to CASUA as the cost of mailing the sponsored gifts to you.
