<div>My name is Tachinnah Tyler, and I am the daughter of <strong>Tameka Mosby-Tyler</strong>, a 45-year-old <strong>single mother</strong> of five and grandmother of three who has always been the heart, strength, and laughter of our family. Today, she is fighting to stay alive after sudden <strong>kidney failure</strong>.

<div>Tameka is not just a mom; she is our best friend, our safe place, and the person who has carried our family through some of the hardest moments imaginable. She raised five children largely on her own, guided us through losing our childhood home in a devastating fire, periods of homelessness, and every obstacle in between. No matter what life threw at her, she kept us together and kept us hopeful!

<div>She is still the sole provider for her children, supporting me through college and co-parenting my 16-year-old sibling through high school.

<div><strong>How This Happened:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

<li><strong>December 2022</strong> - She caught COVID-19 and nearly lost her life. It took months to recover.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>August 2023</strong> - Routine blood work revealed dangerously abnormal levels. Doctors immediately hospitalized her, describing her as "walking dead." After extensive testing, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). We were told she could live a normal life with medication.

<li><strong>2023-2025</strong> - She did everything right! She changed her diet, set fitness goals, underwent medical treatment, and stayed optimistic about her future. As recently as November 2025, her doctors said she was doing well!

<div><em>Then everything changed...</em>

</div>

<li><strong>February 2026</strong> - She became ill with the flu and never recovered. Weeks passed with severe fatigue, vomiting, body aches, loss of appetite, and weakness.

</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>March 12 </strong>- She went to the emergency room. Doctors discovered her kidney function had rapidly declined to critical levels. She was admitted to the emergency room immediately and was not allowed to go home.
</li>
</ul>

</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>March 15 </strong>- A kidney biopsy was performed to determine the cause of the sudden deterioration.
</li>
</ul>

</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>March 17</strong> - Biopsy results confirmed End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Her kidneys had collapsed due to a genetic condition. The damage is permanent and irreversible.
</li>
</ul>

</div>

<li><strong>March 18</strong> - She was told dialysis was her only option for survival. She asked for a short time to process and to tell her children.
</li>
</ul>

</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>March 19</strong> - She underwent emergency surgery to begin dialysis and immediately received her first treatment, with virtually no time to adjust to her new reality.
</li>
</ul>

<div><strong>Current Condition:</strong>

</div>
<ul>
<li>Now she requires dialysis 3 days per week, 4–5 hours per session just to stay alive.
</li>
</ul>

</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>Her job cannot accommodate this schedule, leaving her unable to earn income.</strong>
</li>
</ul>

</div>
<ul>
<li>She has no personal transportation and must rely on her children to get to life-saving treatments.
</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li><strong>She urgently needs a kidney transplant and is seeking a living donor while also working to be placed on the transplant list.</strong>
</li>
