Henry's Medical Fundraiser

We started this fundraiser to help our dear friend and co-worker Henry Johnson, who is fighting two medical battles simultaneously.    In November 2016 Henry  was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which among other symptoms caused him to lose much of his vision in one eye.  While learning how to cope with MS on a daily basis, in August he was hospitalized and  diagnosed with a very rare kidney disease.  Being as rare as it is there is no definitive cure.  There has been reported success in treating the disease and reported cases of full remission after two years with the use of corticosteroids.  In Henry’s case this disease has caused his body to recognize his own kidneys as foreign bodies and therefore reject and attack them.  The anti-rejection drugs that Henry requires to stay alive are enormously expensive and not fully covered under his medical insurance.  While battling on these two fronts, the medical bills continue to pile up.  If battling the stress of fighting these two terrible diseases aren’t enough, the last thing he needs weighing on him is the cost of these very expensive medical  bills. Henry has not been able to work from the office. He has been managing to work from home for the past several months while battling on these two fronts.
