Henry's Top Surgery Fund

Hey, so some of you might know me personally and some might not, either way here’s a bit about me and why I’ve created this fundraising page. I recently came out to everyone I know as trans/non-binary though I have been out to my parents for around 2 years now and my close friends for around 4 years. In that time I have been constantly binding my chest to make it flatter as the look of it naturally makes me feel extremely dysphoric and anxious on a daily basis.

Because I haven’t been out to everyone until recently I have only just been referred to Charing Cross gender identity clinic back in September for top surgery. However, with the long wait times and working full time with a lot of manual labour I know my body and my mental health can’t take potentially another 3 years of waiting for surgery.

So with that I’ve decided to try and go privately for this. This will consist of a lot of fundraising as I need to be referred by a specialist for top surgery, consultations and the surgery itself. In total I have estimated I will need around £7,000 to cover everything including travel and living whilst in recovery and things before. I know I might not get it all through just this site but I will be doing other fundraising events and most of my monthly earnings will be put into my surgery fund as well as long as I have enough money to stay alive.

It would mean so much if you can’t donate to even just share this around so it reaches as many people as possible as I know money can be tight most of the time. Again, if you’re a friend, family member or just someone who has stumbled upon this I’m so grateful for you reading it/donating/sharing. This is the next step I am in desperate need of to become my authentic self and to help my physical and mental health greatly x
