Henry Yee’s Funeral

Donation protected
A son, a brother and a father, Henry was born on October 24, 1956 in Hong Kong and he became an American Citizen in 1977. He had attended Harper Woods High School and then later transferred to Notre Dame High School where he had graduated from. He and his parents (my grandparents) owned and operated a Chinese Restaurant in the City of Harper Woods called Silver Dragon (which had the best Chinese food anywhere in the Wayne County). My dad had all his friends working for them as servers, dishwashers and would always hangout after work in the restaurant and just have fun after the work was done. During the Holidays, the restaurant would be closed, but celebrations would be had there (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc). Those are the things that I will truly cherish and remember of my dad.

However, Henry had underlying health conditions and on December 29, 2020 at 11:45a.m. PST, his life was taken away from all of us far too soon at the age of 64. With previous health conditions COVID-19 had taken him away from his two sons (Derick and Justin), his older sister, nieces and nephew, other relatives and friends.

Henry has many attributes that made him such a great and likable human being. He had great morals, ethics, he was caring, compassionate, selfless, trust worthy, funny, and a happy go lucky man who cared about anyone and everyone he met. He always saw the cup as half full rather than half empty.

As a loving and caring father, he did all and as much as he could do to help Justin and myself out. Growing up as a kid, he did teach us a lot about caring for others, not to judge people for who or what they are, do not do anything to upset or hurt others even if they did hurt you as karma will always come back to them tenfold. These are the morals and ethics my dad instilled into the both of us today and he will be greatly missed.

The money raised is to give my dad a proper send off as he had nothing to his name, did not have any life insurance or any assets which makes things difficult for my family and I.

REST IN PEACE DAD. YOU ARE NO LONGER SUFFERING ANYMORE. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
