Henry Brooks Fights Cancer

Update! The insurance and one week pay goal has been met!  I was asked to leave this page up as people wanted to give more toward additional expenses. So I am leaving it here. Update~ Henry started Chemo Friday Jan 26 and it is rough so far. Pain and vomiting. Keep praying and keep sharing this Go Fund Me page. It has not had any acitivity today BUT I do know you are praying. We can tell. Thank you thank you thank you. Remember the $10,000 pays specifically for there up front out of pocket expense and 1 week of pay for Stephan. Thanks in advance and again for your generosity in helping us meet this goal.

UPDATE~ Henrys pathology and recent CAT scan came back with some good news. He does not have cancer in his lungs or lymph nodes! The Wilms Tumor Had clean margins. That means 18 weeks of chemo and no  radiation! He is stage 2 which is a miracle with the size of that tumor. 

Update: Henry has a Wilms Tumor. It was the size of a basketball when they removed it. He will begin radiation and chemotherapy soon. There is a CAT scan tomorrow to determine more about the lungs. The tumor had smashed his lung in one place. He is home for 2 days at least. Last night I showed him this Go Fund Me site. His face lit up and he exclaimed, "Mom we are rich!" I said yes buddy you are because of all the friends you have and people who care. As much as he would love to "go anywhere in the world" (his thinking with that money) we all know it will take thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars to take this tremendous journey he has begun. A journey most of us will never take. Let's keep making this kid "rich."

Henry was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer on Jan. 13. He will have surgery on Jan 14 to remove his kidney. Chemo and Radiation will be determined after the pathology results. Henry is my grandson. He is 7 years old and is in a lot of pain. He will have a road of recovery ahead of him. His parents will miss time at work. There will be increasaed expenses and missing pay. Friends have asked if I would set this up. The money goes straight in to their account each day it is given so it really helps immediately. Thank you for your tender heart toward this family. They are feeling the love.
