OUR STORY
Founded in 1991, Henrietta Hudson has served the LGBTQ community in NYC and beyond for 30+ years.
The history of the West Village exemplifies the struggle for LGBTQ rights and Henrietta Hudson has been a beacon for that cause, offering a safe space for the LGBTQ community at large. We were an activist venue before it was sexy, standing on the shoulders of those that came before us.
We are a queer human bar built by Lesbians. We embrace our entire community and seek to uplift our most marginalized members.
A true LGBTQ establishment - we aren’t free until we are all free.
THE MISSION & VISION
We have always used the venue as a platform for social change and we aim to add value, education, and dollars to our community with innovative campaigns and new approaches to engage our audience.
With a history of standing with and for our community, we’re proud to head into this new chapter doubling down on our values and continuing to hold space for our people.
