Emergency Vet Treatment costs for Hemenway

Hemenway—also known as “Hemi”—is an energetic and handsome 1.5 year old male Siberian Husky pup who came to Pet Harbor in late August. Hemi Pet Harbor bio page  Recently, Pet Harbor noticed that he was having head tremors, and they immediately took him to the emergency vet. Video of Hemi head shaking issue  He also had a swollen leg, causing the emergency vet to think that he had a snake bite, or possibly Rocky Mountain Spotted fever from a tick bite. His electrolytes were extremely low, and they put him on fluids. Unfortunately they are not able to rule out the snake bite at this time.  His leg is very swollen and has an abscess on his leg that they treated. The vet is currently exploring potential causes.  However nothing is for certain at this time.

The bottom line is this: we need your help getting Hemi healthy again, and the cost of his treatment has severely depleted our reserves. Please consider donating to his fundraising campaign. His treatment has already cost about $2000, and he has additional vet visits scheduled so the costs will continue to climb.  Hemi is hoping to raise $3000 to cover his treatments and make sure that what Pet Harbor has spent getting him healthy will not affect our ability to help other homeless huskies.  We appreciate the support, and most of all, so does Hemi!
