Help Yoli’s Funeral

Yoli is a 68 year old hardworking mother of three Hector, Esmeralda and Miguel and  grandmother of Alexa , Miguel Jr.  and Giancarlo and loving wife of Hector Rodriguez Sr. with 49 years of marriage. Six years ago, Yoli successfully defeated thyroid cancer that lead to a painful surgery and her thyroid was removed.
Throughtout this course of time, six years exactly, she was lead to believe by her doctor that she was being monitored to prevent cancer from coming back. For the past six years, she never missed an appointment and paid her dues for these visits without missing one which it is important to note that in every visit according to my mother blood work was usually conducted by the clinic/ doctor. Last year in 2017, on a typical visit at this clinic which for the moment I will not reveal, my father asked her doctor about her status and the doctor replied “everything looks well , there is no cancer”. Needless to say, last year during thanksgiving holiday I noticed my mother had lost a lot of weight and mentioned it to her because quite honestly this is how her ordeal started six years ago with her thyroid cancer. Three months later in February of this year 2018, my mother started complaining of constant back and arm pain but nothing was found on the first visit. After a second or third visit with her primary local doctor an x-ray was ordered and an anomaly was found and there after costly additional test and biopsies have been conducted but unfortunately, the origin source of the cancer has not to this point been found just yet as additional tests are pending. My mother has currently been diagnosed with lung and liver cancer without prior history of alcohol nor smoking. Ever since she was given the detrimental news my mother has been so depressed but she is full of hope and faith. My mother is currently very weak speaks very little and is usually very tired but she loves to have her family around.

Both of my parents have been hard workers even past their age of retirement and have strived to provide for the three of us. This year they both decided to fulfill the American dream of owning their own home after so much sucrifice, perceveriance and above all hard work and ever since starting this year I have never seen my  parents so happy until my mother’s diagnosis. This dream may soon will have to come to an end as it will be difficult for my father to provide for both treatment related expenses and mortgage. Even though these costs are difficult  as a family to bare, we believe that we must do as much as we can to keep fighting along  my mother’ side and any expense is worth it to have our mother healthy.

Yoli is strong willed and has been fighting ever since her first battle from six years ago. She has a strong moral support and positive attitude but we do not want her to fight alone. We would like to see our mother to get better so she can keep looking forward in the future with her husband. With a little bit of your and our support, we can help her ease the burden of the illness. Thank you in advance from the Rodriguez family for your support and any contribution. We continue to request your prayers for healing and direction. God bless all of you reading this campaign.
