<div>My name is Davida, and I’ve created this GoFundMe to help me manage the practical costs of everyday life and bring a little more stability and organisation into my world.

<div>I live with several long-term mental health disabilities, including bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), PTSD and agoraphobia. I also live with significant hearing loss. These conditions affect my energy, my ability to leave the house, my capacity to work consistently and many of the everyday tasks that other people may be able to take for granted.
</div>

<div>My life has not followed an easy or conventional path. I have experienced homelessness, trauma, periods of severe mental ill health and psychiatric hospitalisation, and I have had to rebuild my life more than once. Despite that history, I have continued creating, learning and finding ways to support myself and build a meaningful life.
</div>

</div>
<div>Today, I finally have a secure home, which means an enormous amount to me. I spend much of my time at home creating music, writing, recording my podcast and doing spiritual and creative work. I’m also continually working on making my home and daily routine more manageable around my disabilities.
</div>

<div>This fundraiser isn’t about funding a luxurious lifestyle. It is intended to help with ordinary daily expenses, household needs, transport and practical things that can make living independently with disabilities easier. Having a little financial breathing room also allows me to organise my life rather than constantly operating from one immediate expense to the next.

<div>I believe there is dignity in asking for help when you genuinely need it. Disability can make even simple aspects of life more complicated and expensive, and financial stability can make an enormous difference to someone’s independence and quality of life.
</div>
