Tricia's road to recovery

Imagine nine months ago when you hear the news that you were having a baby girl. When she arrives she is the most beautiful thing you would ever expect. As you welcome her into the world, life returns to business as usual and then tragedy strikes.  As she planned her most routine tasks the unimagined happens. While saying goodbye to a good friend one night, she drove home to see her baby again. She found herself in an unfamiliar place. Confused and nervous, as the street lights glared she realized where am I, did I make a wrong turn, or am I just confused. The road curved to the right then to the left. Did my navigation say I was right? Or was I lost. If I enter the coordinates right maybe it would get me home.  Program my address; look up look, down, then darkness, the sound of a helicopter then beep, beep, beep……. Where am I? Where is my family? Then PAIN!!!!

That is the last thing she remembered, the worst is yet to come, the broken jaw, two broken bones in her neck, facial fractures and bruises you wish you never seen.  Rod placed in her femur, a crushed ankle, and both bones in her lower leg broken and pushed thru the skin. Multiple surgeries to follow to repair, right foot broken which will require surgery to repair as well. The broken ribs will have to heal on their own along with the jaw and neck.  Let’s all pull together to make sure, as she heals and begins her road to walk again, she knows we have all pulled together in support of her recovery.
