Kaiden and Lucas

This campaign is for my little guys. Original due dates were February 10th. They were born 7 weeks early on December 17th at 32 weeks. I was admitted to labor and delivery on December 4th when my water ruptured and they had to stop premature labor. On that Sunday the 17th, I was far enough along once labor started it escalated so quickly. after pushing for 2 hours I had two beautiful babies! Kaiden 5 lbs and Lucas 2lbs 12oZ. Lucas was born with ended up no circulation on his little hand. And the fingers were atrophying. The pictures were sent to a specialist at Seattle children’s hospital. Then On the 19th we were told that day he was going to Seattle for surgery on the 20th he would have to have his little limb amputated. There was so much tissue that died and no circulation to the extremities. There was some dead tissue as well. So off he was rushed to Seattle. I was still admitted at that time so Neil had to have a flight out of Missoula that night to get to Seattle. And food and a place to stay while there. All while missing work.
He made it through the surgery fine and is recovering. They amputated the right side from wrist to elbow. If all continues well there is talk of him and daddy coming home tomorrow or Saturday. Before Christmas. But we have to find another flight Neil during the holidays last minute. We never thought or dreamt our kids would be split up like this 4 days into their life.
