Help Cathy during her recovery

Donation protected

Hi all. Now that the holidays are over and we can return to our usual lives, I wanted to reach out to you about a family who will not return to their usual lives any time soon. I am asking for donations for the Sabella family..

In December with an underylying cause of fibro muscular dysplasia, Cathy  (Iapaolo)suffered a massive stroke and is left paralyzed on her left side and at this time unable to walk. Cathy is not receiving paid sick leave from her employer and is in the process of applying for disability which is a fraction of her pay. While she works on her rehabilitation her bills and finanacial obligations begin to mount up. The Sabella family were a two income family. and now one of the incomes has been lost. How will they manage to pay their bills during her rehabilitation? It's frightening for a family that lives on Long Island to face this type of hardship while convalescing and Cathy hoping one day to return to work.. Cathy's doctors have told her she may never return to work and has a 50% chance of having another stroke.   Where does the money come from while your work hard to relearn to take your first steps again? Just imagine yourself and family in their shoes. What if you were unsure if you would ever be able to go back to work again?
Cathy has two children. Her youngest daughter is a senior in high school and looking to go to college next year. Cathy's oldest daughter is finishing up SCCC and looking forward to completing her BA program as SUNY Stony Brook.  Now with the increased financial pressures, where will they find money to help their children through these crucial years?
Cathy and her husband have given to the community where they grew up and where they decided to settle. Chris, her husband is a 911 dispatcher and a volunteer fireman. Cathy was also a girl scout leader for her daughther's troop. These are good people who give of themselves for a better quaility of life for those in the community. I am hoping now the community and fellow Wolverines can come together and help.  We can't ease all of the heart ache and fallouts from this tragedy, hopefully we can all come together and ease at least one.
