Help the Pykes

Hi Everyone,

We’re posting this hoping to help out Kelly & the Pyke Family as they’re trying to get through some difficult times.  Just recently (June 22) Phil Pyke (husband of Kelly (Delaney) Pyke and father of 4 beautiful children Andy, Rosie, Matt, & Simon) has been diagnosed with acute leukemia, has taken a stroke causing impaired vision, and is now battling a bad bout of pneumonia which is causing his lungs to fill up with blood.  Phil is currently in Intensive Care Unit on life support and until he beats down the cancer (since life support was put in place for the lung infection he became stable and is now receiving chemo) he will have great difficulty beating the lung infection, although he is responding to antibiotics.

To be by his side, Kelly and their 4 children flew from Ontario to Alberta (where Phil had been working) to see him while the doctors are working diligently at bringing him back to good health through these trying times.

Where the family is away from home, the accommodation expenses, meals, travelling, and flight costs, start to add up quickly, (not to mention their bills at home continue to go on while both parents are off from work).   So we’re asking you to please help - whether it’s monetarily or through prayer, anything to enable Kelly, Phil, and their children to spend quality time together now without having to otherwise focus on financial obligations would be a blessing and much appreciated.

Kelly is the daughter of Jim & Cecelia Delaney (Trenton, ON), Sister of Derek (ON) and Mike Delaney (Boularderie). 

Philip is the son of Eleanor & Gordon Pyke (North Sydney), brother of David (Halifax), Jim (Halifax), Tom (Sydney), and John (Hantsport).
