Help the Piersons Rebuild!!

Donation protected
Friday, April 4th, the living room ceiling of Robert and Lee Ann Pierson came crashing down.  I've never seen anything like this before.  Thankfully, no one was hurt.  Both Robert and Lee Ann had just walked out of the house to get something to stablize a crack that had appeared in the ceilling, moments before it collapsed.  40 year old insulation came down, as well as all of the drywall, covering their furniture and floor in several feet of dust, insulation, and debri.  They had a team of 5-10 family and friends help clean the mess throughout the day, to make it somewhat livable while trying to sort through the logistics of getting things fixed and repaired.  A contractor came in and informed them that the entire upper floor ceiling has been compromised.

Robert and Lee Ann live here with their two daughters, Paige and Emilee, as well as their two grandaughters (ages 18 months and 2 1/2 years).  With asthma and allergy health issues, this is not a healthy living situation and needs IMMEDIATE attention.  The girls are all sleeping else where in the meantime.

Financially the Piersons have struggled over the years to stay afloat, as most of us do.  This disaster will, and has, obviously begun to accure more expenses then they can provide for.  The insurance will help with some (though there is a large deductible), however it could be several weeks before they can begin to see any help from the ins.

If you know this family personally, you know the kind hearted, giving nature of Robert and Lee Ann.  They have been a support to myself for the last 2 decades.  They continually give of themselves, their time, their counsel, their friendship, to anyone they can.  During this trying time I want them to be blessed by the same outpouring of support that they would give to anyone in need.

Please do not just read this and go about your day, but please take a few moments to help and donate anything you can.  It doesn't have to be a large amount, anything you can do will bless them.

If you were in this position, or someone you loved, think of the daily struggle this would cause.  It's not only the furniture, carpert, ceiling that needs to be replaced.  They were not in a good financial place prior to the collapse and this is going to set them further behind.  Please join me in blessing them monetarily to get back on their feet and be able to sit in the comfort of the family room again.
