Rest in Peace Mom (Lisa Mannone)

For people that are friends with us know that my mother, Lisa Mannone, had Huntington's Disease(HD). HD is a dibilitating genetic brain disorder. It leaves the affected person unable to walk, talk, control their muscle movements, swallow as well as many other symptoms among those listed. Unfortunately, my sister and I are at risk of this disease. There is a 50/50 chance per offspring to get this terrible disease. My mother has passed from this disease on March 20, 2016. She put up a huge fight.
HD had put a huge financial strain on my family. My dad suffers from an array of illnesses as well such as: type one diabetes, celiac's disease, acid reflux, and a heart condition. My dad always puts himself last. Being a caregiver always comes first. I am in my third year of college, my sister is a junior in high school. It is very hard to come up with money to keep me in New York attending college, pay for doctors visits, medications for my dad and even just buy what is needed in our house. Eventually it will be time to send my sister Jenna off to college and that is another economic issue we face. We need all the help me can get and a little goes a long way. Whatever you can do can help us. I was not asked to make this page by anyone, I started it because I genuinely feel that my dad, of all people, deserve this. He deserves to be able to pay bills off and buy items we need and release some of his stresses, anxieties and depression. My sister deserves to go to college. Do it for them. Thank you. I put $7,000 as the goal but the more donations the more help we get. Thank you again! Xoxo
