The Hawkins family needs your heeeelp.
Julie Wiese Hawkins is one of my best friends. We played together on the 2001 WCWS LSU team: she made the tournament team that year. She married her college boyfriend and they now have 2 beautiful children: Will (8 in January) and Kate (6 on September 16th).
Julie and Lee are faced with $25,000 in expenses in order to rebuild after the historical Louisiana flood in August.
By Thanksgiving, my goal is to raise $10,000. This will pay for the sheetrock, paint, and trim for the walls throughout the house.
Then floors, doors, kitchen appliances, couches, air conditioning unit, and finally bathrooms.
My hope is that my Chattanooga and Lake Charles family, along with my friends around the country will step up for this cause. Who knows when it will be our turn to need help?
All money will go directly to the Hawkins family.
